Larry wrote this book with the intent to:
- pay tribute to the crash victims and their families;
- dispel many myths regarding this crash that still persist;
- challenge the three Boards of Inquiry who held three pilots solely responsible;
- challenge the aviation administrators and federal politicians who in 1954 ignored the many warnings of near misses between military and civilian aircraft near Moose Jaw, SK;
- ensure that this air crash remains a well documented part of prairie and Canadian History.

About the Author, Larry Shaak
Larry spent most of his career working in the highway safety and adult education sectors. He has worn many hats spending portions of his career in:
- radio broadcasting
- community television safe driving productions
- aviation ground school instruction
- coordination/ instruction Driving Without impairment programs.
He spent a great deal of time actively involved writing and directing dinner theater productions. A life time dog lover, Larry continues raising , training and promoting Saint Bernards.
An aviation buff since the age of four, he holds a private pilot's license with a
night endorsement. In years gone by he has owned a Cessna 120 and
Cessna 150 aircraft.
Larry is a graduate from the University of Regina with a B.A and B.Ed(adult
education) degrees.
Making his home near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan Canada , Larry enjoys
researching, interviewing and writing as a hobby.
